The button-up has proved to be an era-proof closet classic thanks to its easy wearability. Whether silk, sheer, or boldly printed, it’s time to add another to your fall wardrobe. I am guilty of having a closet full of button-up blouses in various colours and fabrics.  I love the versatility of this look- it can be very casual with a pair of flats, then dressed right up with a sexy pair of pumps, skinny jeans and a clutch.

Clean and crisp, neat collars and buttoned-up shirts alway makes for a refined and sophisticated look. Modest but chic, this prim and propper look has been popping up everywhere lately, from celebrities to models, and it’s a welcome change to the slouchy, open neck, boyfriend look we have seen around for a while.

To take it up a notch, pop a gold or silver necklace – like a short chain or choker – under the collar.

Just because it’s prim and propper, the all buttoned-up look can still be young and fresh and super sexy.

THE LOOK

Formal-feeling button-ups of the past have given way to something silkier, sexier, and distinctly made for a woman. Perfect for layering or solo wear, the style staple’s basic shape secures it high-rank in a starlet’s wardrobe of go-to favorites. Think of it as the A-list’s version of a t-shirt.

Ankle strap heel trend

Image

I have never been a fan of wearing really uncomfortable heels but lately my opinion has changed. Beauty is pain… or blisters..or so they say.

A huge trend lately is the very feminine and simple ankle strap heel. I love this look paired with skinny pants and a basic top such as a button down. The pastel colours also add to the feminie look which I love. I think these are a great substitue for wedges with pants or a dress/skirt because it gives the outfit a more dainty, ladylike vibe.

Ankle strap shoes- Whether on heelsflatssandalsplatforms or flatforms, this small detail makes any pair of shoes slightly more flattering. Why, would that be? A strap draws attention to the ankle, which is typically the thinnest part of the leg. And thinner = longer in this case.

Have a look below at some great ways to accessorize any outfit with a simple strap on a shoe.

Product Review- Urban Decay- Super Saturated lip colour

ImageImage

What it is:
Urban Decay’s creamiest, most sumptuously pigmented lip pencil.

What it does:
This formula delivers all the opaque, saturated, high-impact color of your favorite lipstick and an arresting high-gloss finish in one chubby pencil. And with a dynamic bright to deep shade range in creamy and sparkly textures, the runway-ready possibilities are endless. Even the glittery hues in this collection of high-gloss lip pencils feel smooth on your lips (and leave not a trace of sparkle grit). This conveniently portable pencil’s high-gloss shine can be blotted for a more stain-like effect, but no matter how you wear it, the colour lasts. Free of mineral oil and paraffin, this formula contains plant-derived ingredients that nourish lips. Because the barrels and boxes are color-matched to each shade, locating the color you want is easy, even in the deep, dark depths of an oversize tote.

The Mason Shaker

The Mason Shaker

The Mason Shaker is a unique Mason Jar cocktail shaker created by W&P Design, a design and manufacturing firm founded by two best friends raised in the south. The concept for the Mason Shaker was developed from an obsession with vintage kitchenware (Josh) and an uncanny ability to fashion impromptu drinking tools at a moment’s notice (Eric). After one too many mint juleps poured from a poorly-modified Mason Jar one summer, the idea for a better (and cooler) cocktail shaker hit them like a double shot of bourbon. The Mason Shaker was born.
